Based on Victoria’s beautiful Mornington Peninsula, Peek Concepts By Ilona is a bespoke garden design studio founded by Ilona Cohen, specialising in striking cacti and succulent landscapes. Known for her artistic eye and deep understanding of drought-tolerant planting, Ilona creates low-maintenance gardens that are both sculptural and sustainable.

Each design is carefully tailored to the client’s lifestyle and environment, blending form and function with a touch of the unexpected. From modern courtyards to coastal retreats, Ilona brings life and structure to outdoor spaces using hardy, architectural plants that thrive in local conditions.

Peek Concepts By Ilona works closely with the talented team at Peek Garden, ensuring seamless project execution from design to installation. Whether you’re starting from scratch or revitalising an existing space, Ilona’s thoughtful, water-wise designs offer timeless beauty and year-round appeal.

Our extensive business journey has forged strong connections with our landscape design customers. These talented designers enhance outdoor environments into stunning landscapes throughout Victoria, spanning from the scenic Mornington and Bellarine Peninsula to the bustling streets of Melbourne and the tranquil shores of the Surf Coast, all with the aid of Peek Garden plants.

We wholeheartedly endorse these designers to realise your dream garden, seamlessly blending the beauty of succulents with expert design and craftsmanship.

Clare Mack Studio is a landscape design practice based in Melbourne, Victoria.

With a log of projects from urban courtyards through to larger, rural landscapes, the approach at Clare Mack Studio is to create gardens that err on the side of natural, have elements of hand-craft, and are a little bit disco.

The design process is straightforward – we like to let creativity roam freely, often kicking off with some hand sketches, and letting the scribbles do the talking. This helps us connect more deeply with our projects and vibe with our co-creators, the clients. The mission is to bring out big smiles and give them something they can truly cherish.

We don’t have one style, but our landscapes often incorporate arid species – not just because they’re tough or well-suited to our unique climate, but because they’re sculptures in their own right and frankly, they’re extremely cool. Regardless of the scale of a project, Clare Mack Studio likes to let the magic happen – this is where Living Sculptures Nursery comes in.Â

Visiting Living Sculptures is like diving into a vibrant, ‘mexi-eclectic’ wonderland, bursting with an impressive array of botanical eccentricities, waiting to be explored, and who’s going to chaperone you on the tour? There’s only one man for the job…

Mark Cohen, the master behind the magic.

Mark’s infectious energy and humour set the stage for an epic plant tour (tip: bring some lamingtons along for bonus points). You’ll quickly notice the meticulous care and precision that goes into every corner of Living Sculptures. They’ve turned neatness into an art form and their attention to detail and incredible plant knowledge is unmatched. Working with their extraordinary plant lineup makes a world of difference when it comes to creating landscapes that captivate.

At Clare Mack Studio, we work on projects of all shapes and sizes and with Living Sculptures’ expansive species selection, the possibilities are inspiring. The best part perhaps, is witnessing firsthand the excitement that Living Sculptures’ specimens can bring to our clients. The ambient glow of a Cleistocactus, for example, can transform an entire space, bringing it to life and forming part of a gallery of living ornaments.

Thanks to Living Sculptures’, Clare Mack Studios can have a lot of fun, weaving together landscapes that are as unique as they are enchanting. And when it comes to collaborating with Mark, Ilona, and the rest of their crew, it’s more than just about getting the highest quality plants – it’s about bouncing off fellow creatives, who share a true passion for enriching our experience with landscapes.

Florian Wild curates gardens which are experiential and evocative. We believe gardens should be emotive, they should resonate. We make outdoor spaces for respite, contemplation, and enjoyment. Our work offers the opportunity to be present – to feel the mood we have shaped. Beauty, whimsy, fun. We experiment with the unexpected, aiming to make spaces feel new and unseen, while also comforting, familiar – even sentimental.

Through collaborative partnerships, such as our alliance with Peek Gardens, we are able to draw on collective expertise in horticulture to bring our varied botanical visions to life.
